The launch of the AMD Radeon RX 470 and the Radeon RX 460 has finally arrived.
Both the RX 480 and RX 460 are based on the 14nm GCN architecture.
This year’s Radeon RX 400 and RX 400+ have been based on GCN 1.1.
Both chips have 16 compute units and 128 texture units.
Both the RX 470 launch title, “Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 56”, and the RX 460 launch title “Radeon RX 470 SuperNOVA”, feature AMD’s Vega GPU core.
The Vega GPU is the core of AMD’s new Radeon lineup.
The Polaris architecture is the GPU core of the Radeon R9 390 series and the Polaris architecture has been used on the Radeon 500 series and Radeon 600 series.
We have been looking at Vega for a while now.
The Radeon RX 580 is the flagship graphics card based on Vega and the Vega GPU has been powering some of the most exciting games this year.
AMD’s flagship GPU has also been powering games like Far Cry 4, Overwatch, Overwatch 2, and Titanfall 2.
We’ve also seen it powering the new AMD Radeon HD 7990 graphics card.
We haven’t been able to get the Vega to be used in games like StarCraft II or Call of Duty: Black Ops III, but that may change in the future.
The next generation Vega graphics card is slated to launch in the second half of 2017.
The RX 480 will likely be AMD’s first Polaris based graphics card to launch on a mainstream gaming platform.
It’s time to get ready to get some gaming on the Vega platform.
As a refresher, the RX 500 series is the successor to the RX 400 series and it features a slightly higher clock speed.
The first RX 500 GPU was the RX 560, and the GTX 1050 was the successor of the RX 380 series.
The RX 470 is the next generation of the Polaris GPU, the new flagship GPU of the new Radeon R series.
The R series is based on a 15nm process and the R series GPU is based around the GCN GPU core, so it has an 18 compute units.
The GCN GCN core has been utilized on the R9 400 series, R9 380 series, and R9 300 series, with the latest generation R9 Fury series, Fury X, and Fury X+ being the first to feature a GCN 2.0 GCN graphics core.
It has 16 compute cores, 64 texture units, and 256 ROPs.
The GPU has 8 GB of GDDR5 VRAM, and is clocked at 1.7 GHz.
The core clock is 2.5 GHz.
It should be interesting to see how much faster the Vega R series will be compared to the R380, R390, and RX 480.
This is a lot faster than the Polaris R series and should be enough to push the Radeon Vega graphics cards past their competition in terms of performance.
We expect Vega to start shipping on the 28-nm process in the third quarter of 2017, and will likely see the introduction of Polaris graphics cards with higher clock speeds and/or a higher core clock.AMD has also announced the Radeon Pro Vega series of graphics cards that will feature the next gen GCN.
The Pro Vega graphics chips are the first generation of this new GPU core and will feature an 8-core configuration.
The new Pro Vega chips will feature 4 GB of memory with 256 ROPS per core.
AMD is not specifying any launch date for the Pro Vega GPUs, but we expect the Pro VEGA series to debut in the first half of 2018.
The Radeon Pro series of GPUs will be AMDs most powerful graphics cards, so we expect that the Vega graphics are going to be able to deliver more performance than the GTX 1060 and GTX 1080 cards.
This will be a good thing for gaming performance.
AMD also announced that the Pro series will feature a 2.7GHz base clock, with a 4.5GHz boost clock.
The memory is clamped at 512 GB/s.
AMD claims that the new Pro graphics will deliver up to 10% faster performance.
This is a big step up from the previous generation RX series.
We were expecting the R500 series to be the next to launch and the graphics cards will be able give us an upgrade from the GTX 1070, 1080, and 1080 Ti graphics cards.
However, this launch will be the first time that AMD is releasing a Radeon RX graphics card that doesn’t feature a higher clock-speed.
The launch of Vega will be interesting for the next-generation gaming platform because of the introduction and launch of next generation graphics chips.
The launch will give the Radeon Fury X and Fury Pro series graphics cards an upgrade to the next generations graphics chips, while the new Vega GPUs will offer an upgrade for the current generation graphics cards and for gamers who are looking for a gaming platform with high performance.
